You’ll have to discuss your parenting styles all over again. If you’re a career woman who has decided to stay home with a new baby, think about ways you can avoid feeling bored, trapped, or stuck. You used to have a lot more freedom when the children in the house were your husband’s kids. It’s common for new mothers to ignore dads after a baby is born, so make sure you and your husband continue to do things together.
Go on dates and have a babysitter come over to watch your child so you and your husband can continue to feel like a team. You still have to present a unified front to all of the children in the house.
