Story:
Gangs Of Wasseypur tells the story of three generations of a family and the bloody rivalry between Khans and Qureshis. Ramadeer Singh (Tigmanshu Dhulia) a Capitalist turned Politician kills Sardhar Khan’s (Manoj Bajpai) father. Then Sardhar Khans aim is to take the revenge of his father’s death.
In Gangs Of Wasseypur Sardhar Khan character is both humorous and serious. He don’t have any fear ti kill some one but he gets beaten up by his wife. Sardhar has two women’s in his life Nagma (Richa Chanda) and Durga (Reema Sen).
Sardhar has one son from Durga and four sons from Nagma. Each son have a different story. Faizal khan (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) is useless drug addict, gets a sudden transformation from a die hard film fan and a responsible family man. He fall in love with Mohsina (Huma Quraishi). Their romantic love track gives the movie a refreshing change. Sardhar Oldest son Danish Khan takes the rein over from his father.
Performances:
Manoj Bajpai delivered the best understated performance of his career. His character stays with you well after the film is over. Tigmanshu Dhulia is good performance as Ramdheer singh. Nawazuddin Siddiqui plyed his part with conviction. Richa Chadda played as Manoj Bajpai wife. She breathes life into her character.
Positive And Negative:
Anurag Khashyap keeps his character believable. The entire cast of the film dilivered a good performance. Rajeev Ravi cinematography is nice. Expressive script. Matchless background score.
Final Verdict:
Gangs Of Wasseypur is not for faint hearted and fantasy lovers.It is an excitng film.Anurag Kashyap’s one of the most brillaint work. Gangs of Wasseypur a must watchable movie. Don’t miss it.
